If you go with AMD Phenom released its Series II this week with the second Phenom 920 or 940 to.

Intel Core i7 can get a 920, but your system will make it expensive. A Q6600 is good if you want or get a Q8200 overclocking, if they do not.

Intel is faster than AMD, but AMD has a better price / performance of Intel.

where the best Intel-based quad-core i7. The 2.66-GHz version will run about $ 300-350 depending on where you are looking for. In addition, you must buy a compatible motherboard and cooler silent compatible, not to mention power. Check out the quad-core processors, currently the best available.

Be better defined?

Intel is the answer. But the "not best to help" really is.

Want to processing speed, energy efficiency or power calculation?

There are several answers to this question when you say "best".

Core i7 is the latest development. Collection of this line.

AMD does not even touch the Core i7

Would give the new Intel i7 920 that will be sold at about 294th To achieve this would be a new motherboard and DDR3. If you have a socket 775 motherboard and a E8400 overclock to 4.0 easily. E8400 applies to 170ish saints!

For AMD would be, I get the new Phenom.

Overall, Intel> AMD:)
