I really loved your novel, "Whale Rider". I also liked how you talked about the determination of Pai, which are accepted by the grandfather and end what he started.
Another beautiful things in this book is, as they are exposed to sensitive topics such as aid in Wales as people need to survive. The only thing I thought too complicated parts are in italics, while very well written and full of words that describe the network that are too long and somewhat cumbersome to read.
